Search:

We know you know how to dig for records, but you may not be aware of how easy digging is here at Metrowax.  No more wasting time choosing search parameters.  Just click in the Search Box in the upper right, and type in whatever it is you are searching for.  (Artist, Title, Etc...)  We won't waste your time bringing up records that are not in stock!

Summary:

Our search utilizes the following record information for searching:

• Artist
• Title
• Year of Release
• Label
• Producer / Remixer
• Format (12", LP, etc)
• Country of Origin
• Track Information

Simply type 1988 Hip Hop in the search box and click the search icon or hit your enter key.

You will find ALL Hip Hop Records released in 1988 listed alphabetically by artist. 

Example 2:  When searching for all Profile Records, you simply type Profile and click search.

You will find ALL Profile Records releases listed alphabetically by artist regardless of genre. 

Example 3: When searching for all Profile Records made in 1988, type in Profile 1988 and click search.

You will find ALL Profile Records releases listed alphabetically by artist regardless of genre released in 1988.

Example 4: When searching for all Hip Hop Profile Records made in 1988, type in Profile 1988 Hip Hop and click search.

You get the drift, it's just that simple!

Search Within:

Now if your searching brings up too many results, you can narrow the listed search results even further by entering additional criteria in the 'Search Within' box and hitting Enter or clicking on the button.

Example 6: Let's say searching for all records remixed by Fatboy Slim (as in example 5), but you ONLY want the search results for his remixes and nothing else.  Assuming you already did a search for 'Fatboy Slim' and the results are shown, type in Remix or Mix in the 'Search Within' box and it will show ONLY songs that were remixed by Fatboy Slim.

• TIP:  "Remix" and "Mix" bring up different results because that is exactly how they are worded on the records themselves.

Sorting Your Results:

Once you have your search results, you can change how your records are sorted to suit your preferences.

Price - Choose Low to High or High to Low.

Most Clicked On - Shows the highest number of viewed records first.

Record Label: A-Z  - Sorts results by record label alphabetically.

Year of Release: Newest First - Sorts the newest records first. (By year of release)

Year of Release: Oldest First  - Oldest records first. (Unknown years will appear first)

Highest Quantity In Stock - Highest in-stock records first. (Great for our bulk buyers!)

Example 7:  If you are looking for some Old School Hip Hop, click on Hip Hop, then choose 'Year of Release: Oldest First' and scroll past the unknown years to find exactly what you are looking for.

Narrow Results By Record Label:

Label completionists, this one is for you!  Do your standard search, then you can narrow the listed results to the label of your choice! 

Example 8:  Let's say you are looking for Modonna's classic early Sire singles, you could type Modonna in the search box, then choose Sire under 'Sort By Record Label' and then you can even narrow that down even further by choosing sort that by 'Year of Release: Oldest First'.

• TIP:  Don't forget, you can choose how many results are returned, so diggers with high speed Internet connections can show as many as 500 results per page, whereas diggers with dial-up Internet might want to choose to lower numbers like 100 or 50 for faster page load times.

Dig By Genre:
