Shipping Rate Changes
Due to recent USPS rate changes, we have changed our shipping rates for most classes of mail. The new rates are in the system as of 2/1/2012. Shipping Options
Metrowax ships all packages using the United States Postal Service. We clean and tightly package our records into sturdy boxes made specifically for shipping records. We tape all the seams and clearly mark each box fragile and do not bend. We ship our records worldwide.
To track your package, please visit http://www.usps.com and use the tracking number provided on your conformation email. Please make sure we have the correct address for shipping, and be sure to type any special instructions or comments on your order.
USA services
Media mail is the cheapest and slowest service, and is only available to customers in the USA. This type of mail typically takes about 5-10 days to arrive, and our media mail service comes with delivery conformation and a tracking number.
Priority mail USA is more expensive, but is also more reliable and faster. This type of mail typically takes about 2-3 days to arrive, and our priority mail service comes with delivery conformation and a tracking number. Express mail USA is the fastest, safest, and is the most expensive service. This type of mail typically takes about 1-2 days to arrive, and our express mail service comes with delivery conformation, a tracking number, and insurance. If you need the item the next day, place your order before noon on the previous day (some locations may not be able to get next day service, please contact us to confirm).
International services First class airmail is the cheapest service we offer for international buyers. First class usually takes about 1-2 weeks to arrive, but sometimes it will take 3-4 weeks depending on your location and your postal service efficiency. There are many factors that can slow it down, but it is a reliable and fairly fast service to most locations. This service does NOT come with a tracking number. For a complete description of rates, please see the chart below. Note that this service is not allowed for packages of more than 8 items.
Priority mail international is more expensive, but is also more reliable and faster. This is also the cheapest international service we offer for orders of 8 items or more. Priority mail usually takes 4-7 days for delivery, but sometimes it can take longer. This service does not come with an official tracking number, but it does have a customs declaration number, which in some cases can be used to help track your package. These numbers are not able to be tracked online however, and are only available upon request.
Express mail international is the fastest and most reliable service we offer, and it is also the most expensive. Express usually takes 2-4 days for delivery, rarely more. This service costs a lot for the first item, but is fairly reasonable for larger orders, usually priced just a little more than priority mail. This service comes with a tracking number and is automatically insured up to $100. You will receive a tracking number with your email conformation. You may need to sign for your package.
